Fee: $35 per piece (includes firing and glazing)

All classes will have the options of making a toad house, a bird bath, bird feeder or a planter. Samples will be available and Elsa will give demonstrations on each piece.

Please contact Elsa with your interest. After the first class of building your piece out of clay, you will have the option of coming back on a following Monday or Thursday evening to glaze your piece once it's been bisque fired.

NEW Clay Workshop

"Toad House for the Garden"

This workshop involves creating a toad house out of slabs of clay. The options for creativity are limitless. It's a quick, fun project that will be a wonderful addition for a garden.

Here are some unfired pieces created in Elsa's Monday Night Kid's class. Aren't they great?

The class costs $20 for creating the clay piece and $5 to glaze it at another time. You can choose when you want to come in to glaze the piece. Elsa is usually at Splatter's Studio on Monday and Thursday nights from 5-8pm.

Change of Date! March 22, 2012 @ Splatter's Studio, LTD
"Create-Your-Own Mosaic Project"

Our March workshop is coming up fast! This time you will have an opportunity to create your own mosaic project, whether it be making a table top creation or mosaicing the outside of a planter. You choose what you'd like to do and bring the foundation piece to which the tiles will be added. On the first night we meet (March 22, 6:30-8:30pm), individuals will be able to lay out their designs and glaze their own tiles which will be pre-fired, multiple shapes and sizes to choose from. The following two meetings can be made up on Monday or Thursday evenings (depending on your schedule) between 6 and 8pm. The second night you'll glue tiles to foundation piece and on the final night, grout your piece.

Fee for class: $50 ($45 if you bring a friend)

"Landscape Mosaic"

Just wanted to let you know we've put a date on the calendar for our next handbuilding workshop at Splatters. This time we'll be making our own tiles from clay to create a landscape mosaic, glazed, glued and grouted on a board with a handmade clay frame. It will be a wonderful piece to hang on the wall.

The first meeting will be held February 2 (Thursday) from 6:30-8:30 pm. We'll have to meet another time to complete the project, TBD (possibly two times depending on how the glazing and firing process goes). The fee for the workshop is $65 which includes all meeting dates and supplies. $5 off for anyone who brings a friend!
